Additional
Driver Fees
The fee for each additional driver is $25.00 per rental in most locations.
The following individuals are exempt from the fee but must be at least
25 years of age and in possession of a valid driver’s license:
• renter’s employer or regular fellow employee when on company
business
• renter’s spouse
• renter’s mate, life companion, significant other, live-in
or similar
• disabled renters who have completed the non-licensed renter form

Advance
Booking Requirement
Certain rates may require that they be reserved in advance of when the
vehicle is rented. Any advance booking requirement is contained in the
terms and conditions of advertisements or coupons.

Advertised
Rates
Avis advertises in a variety of publications and media. Certain promotional
rates may require you to specifically ask for the rate or mention the
advertisement to be eligible for the rate. Any such requirement is contained
in the advertisement or coupon.

Airport
Concession Recovery Fees
An airport concession and recovery fee is charged at the Bluegrass Airport
location.
This fee is added to rental charges, collected by Avis and remitted to
the applicable authority where the rental originates.

Worldwide Discount Number
Avis Worldwide Discount (AWD) number is a unique number assigned to an
Avis account or program that identifies eligibility for contracted features
or rates. When requested, the Avis AWD number should be entered in the
sequence of one letter and six numbers. Example:

Periods
During peak periods of demand certain rates or car groups at certain locations
may not be available for reservation or rental. Check for details at 1-800-230-4898.

Avis, from time to time, makes promotional offers via coupons. Please

Daily
Rate
Most Avis rates are based on a 24-hour rental period and have a one-day
minimum charge even if the car is returned in less than 24 hours. For
rentals over each 24-hour period an hourly rate applies until such hourly
rate reaches the additional day rate at which point the additional day
rate applies. Charges for optional services (such as Loss Damage Waiver)
are charged at the full day rate for each partial day.

Drop
Off Charge
When a car is returned to a location different than the one where the
vehicle is rented a drop off charge may apply on certain rates.

Rate
In most cases the minimum rental charge is for one day and is based on
a 24-hour period. Beyond the 24-hour period an hourly rate applies until
it equals the cost of the additional day rate.

Inclusive
Rates
Some rate structures may include features such as Loss Damage Waiver in
the rate. Rate displays will contain any included feature.

Availability
For certain rate products, car groups or rental locations at certain times
availability of the rate or car group may be limited.

Mileage
Charge
Most Avis rental rates include either unlimited mileage or a set number
of included miles per day/week/month as part of the rate structure. If
you exceed the number of included miles a mileage charge will apply for
the additional miles driven. If there is a mileage allowance and an additional
mileage charge you will be advised as part of the rate returned during
a rate request.

Avis offers special monthly rates for rentals of 60 days or more.

Rate
Avis offers special monthly rates for rentals from 28 to 59 days. These
rates generally include a substantial free mileage allowance.

Way Rentals
Avis offers convenient one way rentals at attractive rates. Pick up a
car at one location and return it to another. Car type and availability
vary by participating locations, but generally includes compact through
full size cars with unlimited miles and no drop off fee.

Rental charges are subject to applicable local taxes, which vary based

& Mileage Charges
Rates are based on the time the vehicle was kept on rent (day, week or
month) as well as any per mile charges.

Upgrades
An upgrade is where a renter receives a car from a group higher than the
one reserved. Avis guarantees the reserved car group. If it is not available
at time of rental a higher car group will be substituted at the confirmed
rate.

Weekend
Rates
Generally, weekend rates apply on rentals beginning after noon on Thursday
and require the car to be returned by 11:59 PM on Monday. If the vehicle
is returned later the weekend rate will not apply to the rental.

Weekly
Rates
Weekly rates are available for rentals of more than 99 hours but less
than 28 days. Many weekend rates require that the car be kept over a Saturday
night in order to be eligible for lower rates.
